Our Mission
We work for you!  Our mission is to improve the quality of life for City residents through responsive, efficient, and effective delivery of services to every neighborhood and by reflecting a "can-do" attitude with our customers.

The Public Works Department staff maintains and reconstructs all public streets (nearly 45 miles), alleys and sidewalks, assists in removal of brush, leaf removal in the spring and fall, and snow and ice control in the winter months.  The department also maintains water distribution mains.
