The Mayor and Council Members are elected to staggered four-year terms.
Statements of candidacy and nomination petitions for two Council member positions for the City of Greenville are available at the office of the City Clerk.
The filing period for these petitions will be December 12th through December 19, 2022 in the office of the City Clerk from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Consolidated General Election will be held April 4, 2023.

Greenville city council positions are elected at-large. Approximately six months prior to the April odd-year election, the City Clerk will prepare a public notice that candidate packets are available for city-elected positions. The fiing date for petitions will be announced and all candidates must submit all the appropriate paperwork during that time.
