The Economic Development Department works to ensure that the City of Greenville continues to develop and redevelop in an orderly, effective and desirable fashion.  Further, the department implements and pursues the goals set forth in the city's Comprehensive Plan and enforces the guidelines established in the city's Zoning Code.  These goals are accomplished by working with property owners and businesses in a number of areas, including Development and Redevelopment - Pursue high-quality development and redevelopment of property in Greenville, influenced by the direction of the Comprehensive Plan.
