The Building Inspector enforces codes adopted by the City of Greenville through a plan review and inspection process.
The City has adopted the following editions of the International codes:
- 2021 International Building Code with local amendments
- 2021 International Residential Code with local amendments.
- 2015 International Fire Code with local amendments
- 2015 International Plumbing Code
- 2014 National Electrical Code
- Current Illinois Energy Conservation Code
- 2015 International Fuel Gas Code
- 2015 International Mechanical Code
- 2015 International Property Maintenance Code
- 2021 International Existing Building Code
